Andreessen attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for his academic studies. He interned twice as a student at IBM in Austin, Texas, in the AIX graphics software development division. Andreessen also worked at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois, where he learnt about Tim Berners-open Lee's web standards. Andreessen worked developed the web browser Mosaic at NCSA with Eric Bina, which was essential in popularising the Internet for mainstream usage.
Personal Life
In 2006, Andreessen married Laura Arrillaga, a philanthropist and the creator of the Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund, the daughter of real estate mogul John Arrillaga. They have a kid called John together.
